Attend a meet and greet with this month’s authors
The Dunes Literary Series at Indiana University Northwest, a monthly event hosted by the Department of English featuring the work of Great Lakes writers from Northwest Indiana, Chicago, and Wisconsin, will offer live and online versions of its September reading. On Wednesday, September 22, at 6:30 p.m. CDT Chicago native Chris Glomski and Wisconsin native Nick Demske will join the series to discuss their recent work.
Series co-curator Garin Cycholl calls Glomski's work "sharp and always jarringly beautiful. Chris' writing recalibrates our eyes to the world." A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, Glomski’s two most recent books are Lit Up and The Nineteenth Century and Other Poems. Also, a translator of modern and contemporary Italian poetry, Glomski pushes the spaces opened by writers including John Ashbery and James Schuyler.
Always a free event, the reading promises to be a great pairing. The live reading will take place in Hawthorn Hall 104.
