Monday-Thursday 9 am - 1 pm (snacks provided), Friday 3:30 pm - 7 pm (dinner provided)
What is Summer Bridge?
The Summer Bridge is an activity-based approach to preparing for college for their first year at IU Northwest.
During the week, you will:
- Explore new interests
- Create community with students, and faculty
- Develop new friendships
- Have fun while preparing for your first year at IU Northwest
The week ends with the “Student Showcase” and special group event (picnic, field trip, or other group activity)

How much does Summer Bridge cost?
Activities are free and open to all incoming students, but space is limited! Please register at the link below to reserve a space.
Can I take Summer Bridge for credit?
Yes. Students who complete the Summer Bridge experience will be allowed to enroll in the Freshman Seminar (COAS-E104) for four credits, applying their Bridge experience as one credit toward the Freshman Seminar class.
Students who do not complete the Summer Bridge may enroll in the Freshman Seminar class for three credits only.
