AIMS Orientation and COAS Summer Bridge!
Active learning experiences help incoming students build momentum and confidence as they enter college at IU Northwest

- Create community with students and faculty
- Develop new friendships
- Have fun while preparing for your first year at IU Northwest
The week ends with a "Student Showcase". Bridge and AIMS groups showcase their activities in the Arts, Humanities, and STEM fields. This will be followed by a socially-distanced outdoor event (picnic or field trip).
August 17-21 - Monday - Thursday 9 am - 1 pm (snacks provided), Friday 2:00 pm - 6 pm (dinner provided)
This program is designed for NSF-AIMS scholars and other incoming STEM majors.
COAS Summer Bridge:
This program is designed for any incoming student interested in exploring topics in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or STEM disciplines.
Session 1: August 3-7 - Monday - Thursday 9 am - 1 pm (snacks provided), Friday 2:00 pm - 6 pm (dinner provided)
Session 2: August 17-21 - Monday - Thursday 9 am - 1 pm (snacks provided), Friday 2:00 pm - 6 pm (dinner provided)
Activities are free and open to all incoming students, but space is limited! Please register at the link below to reserve a space.
COAS Summer Bridge students who complete the week's activities will can enroll in their Freshman Seminar course for four credits, applying their Bridge experience as one credit toward the Freshman Seminar class.
Students not participating in the Summer Bridge will enroll in the Freshman Seminar class for three credits.
