Northwest Indiana Economic Data
The Center for Economic Education & Research (CEER) in the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University Northwest is responsible for publishing research, technical reports and data that track the economy of Northwest Indiana.
Data Series
As of 2020, the two data series previously published by Center for Economic Education & Research, the Northwest Indiana Coincident Index and the Northwest Indiana Gross Metropolitan Product (GMP) have been retired. These data series were originally created in 2012 to fill a void of data on the economic output of Northwest Indiana. However, beginning in 2020 the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis began publishing annual estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at the county level, more effectively filling this void than our data and superseding them. A new data series is under development to provide a more current estimate and forecast of GDP than the BEA's annual data on a one-year delay currently provides.
