Kicking Off Black History Month

Zuzu Acrobatics At IUN

To begin IUN's celebration of Black History Month, ODEMA hosted Zuzu acrobatics at the Main stage Theatre in Arts & Sciences. On February 1st, 2024, several dozen students and faculty attended the spectacular show. There, they witnessed the culturally rich and diverse traditions of the people of Tanzania. These mesmerizing acts included bodily contortions, juggling, and skillful balancing.

Spotlight: Facilities

Student government would like to recognize the work that facilities do not only for events, but also for the safety of students. During these past couple of weeks facilities have been amazing with making sure our roads and walkways were salted. They also ensured that there were walkways for us to travel on. Student Government gathered statements from students who have been directly affected by faculty.

  • My name and role within our campus:
    • “I am Gary Greiner, I am responsible for all of the building, maintenance, landscape, and mail services on campus. I also monitor a majority of the projects that take place on campus.”
  • Projects and initiatives we have been working on:
    • “We have turned around the SGA office and are also preparing the game room in Moraine. We ensure that our facility is clean and readily available for students to be able to come to campus and only worry about studying.”
  • Vision for the future development and improvement of campus:
    • “Hawthorne Hall is nearing its 3rd and 4th phase of renovation along with Raintree Hall needing to have some work being done on it. We are also hoping to get some energy efficiency for the Savannah/Moraine building.”
