Army ROTC classes can be taken with absolutely no military obligation and are provided at no cost by the university. All books, uniforms, and equipment needed for all ROTC courses are also provided to students free of charge.
Military Science courses cover the fundamentals of leadership, organization of the U.S. Army, and soldiering skills. These courses may satisfy your academic major's elective requirements. Participants in Army ROTC at IU Northwest are eligible for many exciting extracurricular, athletic, and social activities held with other university ROTC programs throughout the Chicagoland area. Army ROTC courses are held once a week in a classroom environment.
Leadership Laboratories are held once every week. These labs combine cadets from all MS levels and allow them to apply what they have learned in the classroom in the field.
Physical Training (PT) sessions are conducted from 6-7 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
